30+ Years of Working for Human Well-being and the Planet
The story behind Trusticate is an unwavering commitment to building a better world. Over three decades ago two people with different backgrounds, psychology and engineering merged, forming the foundation of a partnership rooted in love and in a shared vision for human equality and well-being within a beautiful world of unspoiled nature.
As founders of Trusticate, Thorkild and Annette have built their professional and personal lives around their values. Married for decades, they have raised four children with an emphasis on the heart in every child versus egobased levels of consciousness; wanting to support individual needs and growth for their children to become who they are each one of them. In the home with four children it was a priority to spend as much time as possible together with their children, also choosing periods without day-care and kindergarten. Later on, and still today, they very much favor and enjoy a close companionship with their family. It has been natural to both of them to embrace a lifestyle of organic living since their twenties, with Annette incorporating vegetarian and vegan practices. A shared passion for exploration has led them to travel extensively, as much as their economy allowed, enriching the world view of themselves and their children deepening their commitment to work for global human well-being and the planet.
All four children have from an early age often been taking part in some meaningful creations, utilizing their talents and skills for the greater good. At Trusticate Annette and Thorkild have also had the great pleasure of having one of their daughters being a part of the company adding her unique talents and skills.
Thorkild and Annette are driven by a profound belief and hope in the heart-based interconnectedness of humanity and the planet. From the very beginning of their relation, their work has been guided by a deep-seated interest in the world and it's people understanding that the challenges facing humanity and the environment cannot be solved in isolation. Together they have managed leveraging the blend of expertise from psychology and engineering creating cutting-edge solutions for human well-being and the climate.
Thorkild has from early on in his career found deep meaning in creating tech solutions with a purpose. From being deeply involved working on an IT solution for LCA ( Life Cycle Assessment) at the Danish Technical University in the 1990s to today at Trusticate harnessing advancements in Web3 technology to developing a solution promoting trust and transparency in global sustainable development.
In collaboration with the team in their company WeMoveIdeas in India, they have built the technical system at Trusticate. But their commitment does not stop here, Annette is equally working to nurture a heart-based company culture with the team, where mutual respect, joy and personal growth are integral to daily operations. By providing a space where highly skilled individuals can thrive, they ensure that important solutions are created.
Annette is passionate about helping people and the world become a more happy and peaceful place. Knowing from her own experiences and from science that all humans have heart-based potentials to enrich their personal lives and to include in the work for the greater good. She is as a psychologist and experienced psychotherapist working with individual and couples therapy and executive-level coaching, and she has written the book "Love is Possible - from separation to connectedness" about overcoming separation and connecting to inner peace, love and happiness.
Thorkild and Annette have together with two of their daughters and the team in WeMoveIdeas also created, what they call their fifth child, the peer-to-peer global giving site, CommonCollection.com. It is designed to reach the world’s poorest people using blockchain technology, and will be addressing the growing challenges of poverty and climate change.
This is some of Annette and Thorkild's story. It’s a story of being curious about the world and its people, loving to meet people with all kinds of cultural, religious, social, economic and personal backgrounds believing in endless human heart-based potentials. - Long ago they saw the serious needs for change of human consciousnes in order to work for the very sanity of the nature of the world and it's people.
